2. How We Use Your Information
We use info to:
- Provide core functionality
- Process documents using AI
- Send study reminders
- Improve and personalize experience
- Respond to support requests
- Detect and prevent fraud
3. AI Processing
Your uploaded documents are processed by third-party AI services (such as Google Gemini or OpenAI) to generate summaries and other study content. Document content is sent to these services solely for processing and is not stored by them beyond the processing session. We do not use your content to train AI models.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored on secure servers. Uploaded documents, generated summaries, and study materials are associated with your account. Audio files and processed content are stored on our servers. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data with:
- AI Service Providers (for document processing)
- Infrastructure Providers (cloud hosting)
- Legal Requirements (when required by law)
We do not share data for advertising or marketing.
6. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to send study reminders, SRS review alerts, and processing completion notifications. Disable anytime through App or device settings.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Web version uses local storage and session tokens for login. No third-party tracking cookies or advertising trackers.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access (view data)
- Correction (update info)
- Deletion (delete account and data)
- Export (request data copy)
- Opt-out (disable notifications)
9. Data Retention
Data retained while account active. On deletion, all personal data permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage statistics may be retained.
10. Children's Privacy
Not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
11. Security
HTTPS/TLS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, access-controlled infrastructure.
12. Changes to This Policy
Updates notified in-app. Last Updated date indicates revision.
