Upload any PDF or EPUB, and VaultMind generates rich summaries, comprehension challenges, flashcards, audio narration, and more — then uses spaced repetition to help you retain what you learn.

When you process a unit (a chapter or section), VaultMind sends the text to advanced AI models (like Google Gemini) which analyze the content and generate structured summaries, key term definitions, comprehension questions, and concept maps. This typically takes 1-3 minutes per unit. Your content is processed securely and is never used to train AI models.

VaultMind supports PDF and EPUB files. Simply upload from your device, cloud storage, or file manager. The app automatically detects chapters and organizes content into study-ready units.

Yes. Your uploaded documents are processed securely and are only used to deliver VaultMind's services to you. We use HTTPS/TLS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, and access-controlled infrastructure. Document content sent to AI APIs is not stored beyond the processing session and is never used to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

VaultMind uses the SM-2 algorithm to schedule your reviews at scientifically optimal intervals. After you complete a challenge session, the app calculates when you're most likely to start forgetting the material and schedules a review just before that happens. The more you review, the longer the intervals become — eventually moving concepts into long-term memory.

BYOK stands for 'Bring Your Own Key.' Pro subscribers can plug in their own Gemini or OpenAI API key in Settings. When BYOK is active, all AI processing runs on your key instead of ours, which means you get unlimited processing with no monthly cap. It's a power-user feature for people who want no limits.

Credits are the currency for Pay As You Go users. 1 credit = 1 unit fully processed (summary + key terms + challenges + flashcards + audio). Buy credit packs from $2.99 (5 credits) to $17.99 (50 credits). Credits never expire. Once a unit is processed, you get unlimited access to all its content forever.

Partially. Once a unit is processed, you can read summaries, review flashcards, and listen to audio offline. However, AI processing (generating new summaries), AI chat, and challenge grading require an internet connection.

VaultMind is available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store), with a progressive web app (PWA) for desktop browsers. Your account syncs across all devices.
